報(bào)告簡介:
In 1949, Willard Libby devised the world's first radiocarbon dating technique. Within a few years, radiocarbon laboatories using his technique began to spring up around the world. At the same time, aboveground nuclear weapons testing programs pumped huge quantites of anthropogenic radionuclides, including 14C (bomb carbon) into the earth's atmosphere. This rise stopped abruptly in 1963, with the signing of a nuclear weapons test ban treaty. This talk will discuss the fate of the bomb carbon, how it moved from the atmosphere into the oceans, on land, and into living organisms everywhere.
The talk is in English. Slides are bilingual (Chinese and English)
